National Highway 12 (NH 12) is a National Highway in India which runs entirely in West Bengal. It runs from its junction with NH 27 at Dalkhola terminating at Bakkhali.

Route
NH 12 originates from its junction with NH 27 at Dalkhola in Uttar Dinajpur district and passes through Karandighi, Raiganj, Gajol, Malda, passes over the Farakka Barrage across the Ganges River and then passes through Farakka Barrage Township, Morgram, crosses the Bhagirathi and passes through Baharampur, Beldanga, Rejinagar, Palashi, Debagram, Dhubulia, Krishnanagar, Shantipur, Phulia, Ranaghat, Kalyani, Barasat (NH 12 from Barasat to Sonatikri is more popular as Jessore Road, and thereafter it is more popular as Nazrul Islam Sarani or VIP road), Teghoria, Bidhannagar, then becomes part of E.M. Bypass in Kolkata till Rajpur Sonarpur and passes through Narendrapur, Harinavi, Baruipur and Amtala, where it becomes part of Kolkata-Diamond Harbour Road till Diamond Harbour, and finally passes through Kulpi, Kakdwip and Namkhana with ferry crossing across the Hatania Doania creek and terminates at Bakkhali, right on the Bay of Bengal.
The portion of NH 12 from Dalkhola to Barasat was earlier known as NH 34. The portion of NH 12 from Amtala to Bakkhali was earlier part of NH 117.
