The Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Female is chosen by the viewers of Zee Entertainment Enterprises as part of its annual award ceremony for Hindi films, to recognise a female actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. Following its inception in 1998, a ceremony wasn't held in 2009 and 2010, but resumed back in 2011. Madhuri Dixit was the earliest winner in 1998. Kajol, Rani Mukherji, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan hold the record of maximum wins with 2 awards.
