The Shipra Express (Hindi: इंदौर - हावड़ा क्षिप्रा एक्सप्रेस Bengali: ইন্দোরে - হাওড়া শিপ্রা এক্সপ্রেস, Urdu:حافظة شبرا إكسبرس - اندر) (pronounced as Shiprã Express) is a tri-weekly super fast express train of Indian Railways, which runs between Indore Junction railway station of Indore, the largest city & commercial hub of Central Indian state Madhya Pradesh and Howrah, the commercial hub of Kolkata. The name 'Kshipra' signifies the Shipra River, one of the holiest river of Hindus near Ujjain City.

    This train is hauled by BRC WAP 5 or WAP 4E in Indore–New Katni Junction section, then from New Katni Junction to Allahabad by KTE WDM2a/3a, and from Allahabad to Howrah by HWH WAP 4.

    Rake Maintenance & Sharing

    The train is maintained by the Indore Coaching Depot. The same rake is used for Indore - Patna Express, Indore - Rajendra Nagar Express, Indore–Nagpur Express and Indore - Pune Express for one way which is altered by the second rake on the other way.

  • On Fridays, the train uses the rake of Indore–Amritsar Express
