Early years

Raja Hasan comes from the desert city of Bikaner, Rajasthan. He considers his father Rafik Sagar and his grandfather Allah Rakha Khan as his gurus in singing.

Raja Hasan was a runner up in the reality TV show [[Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007]] and winner of Ek Se Badhkar Ek on Zee TV, Ustaado Ke Ustad on Sony and IPL Rock Star on the Colors channel. He became a known name in the Hindi music industry after the success of these shows. Nevertheless, his big Bollywood moment came when ace music director duo, Vishal-Shekhar recognized his talent and gave him a break in the movie De Taali to sing the blockbuster song 'Mari Teetri'. The song went on to become one of the hits of the year and established him as a professional playback singer.
