Pernambut is a Taluk town in Vellore district, Tamil Nadu State, India. Satghar was a taluk in older days before state divide. Pernambut is 18 km away from Ambur. The town is famous for its Leather industry. The Yelagiri hills are about 60 km away, and are a nice cool place for visitors. It very attractive for the children as well as for the locals.
