Khatauli (Hindi: खतौली) is a town and nagar palika in Muzaffarnagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. A part of National Capital Region, the town is situated 100 km away from the national capital New Delhi.It is located on NH 58 between Muzaffarnagar (24 km) and Meerut (36 km).

Khatauli lies on the National Highway 58 which is an important route for trade and commerce and also a main route for the many Hindu pilgrim places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, Badrinath and many hill stations like Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Chopta. Khatauli was declared as a Tehsil in 2007. The town lies on Delhi - Saharanpur (via Meerut) railway route.

Khatauli has a sugar mill which is the biggest sugar mill in the Asia on the scale of production and storage capacity. Khatauli is a big rural town and some tourist attractions. Since it is located on the banks of the upper Ganga canal, this is the main attraction here. Khatauli is basically famous for Triveni Sugar Mills,Tractor Pulli, Cheetal Grand Pvt. Motels, Agra Sweet, Nadeem Lollipop, Abbaa Alamdar Palang Tod, combine the cultural principles of the Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Sikh religions. There are nine Jain temples in the town.

Triveni engg & industries ltd situated in Bhur area of khatauli block. Khatauli sugar mill fulfills the sugar demand of the states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal etc and foreign countries also.

Rath Yatra

On the occasion of Holi, a rath yatra is organised every year in memory of Krishna devotee Pandit Jayanti Prasad Sharma, founder of Sri Krishna Samkirtana Bhawan (Geeta Bhawan). A rath yatra is organised every year occasion of Jain Tirthankara Lord Mahavira birthday. Time to Time Organised "Ram Katha" in Jain College Field. Also every year people of khatauli host a 3 days Rotary club fest in which school kids put their small business stall and raise some funds for education / school development.

Mela Chhadiyan

Every year a famous carnival is organised by local authorities which is popularly known as 'Mela Chhadiyan' or 'Chhadiyon ka Mela'. The carnival is also known as Mela Shravni. This carnival usually begins in the last week of August (on Raksha Bandhan). The carnival is organised is honour of Goga Jaharveer who, as per the [folktales], is the king of snakes and is also known as Jahar Diwan. The carnival is famous for its joy rides, shopping stalls and food stalls.
