K-170 is a Kansas state highway originating at K-31 on the west side of Osage City, a mile south of the K-31 intersection with US-56. The road runs south for about eight miles (13 km) and then turns west, running through Reading before ending at K-99 about 12 miles (19 km) north of Emporia. K-170 is 22 miles (35 km) long.

K-170 provides access, via county roads, to Lyons County State Fishing Lake.
History
K-170 was commissioned as K-70 by 1932. It appears on the 1932 state highway map starting from K-11 and K-22 (now K-99) and ending at Reading. By 1950, the road was extended east and north to Osage City.
By 1962, K-70 was renumbered as K-170 to avoid a route duplication with Interstate 70.
