Iwakura (岩倉市, Iwakura-shi) is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

History

Iwakura Village was created in 1889 within Niwa District, Aichi Prefecture. It was raised to town status in 1892, and expanded through merger with three neighboring villages in 1906. Iwakura was elevated to city status on December 1, 1971.
