Hotel Mumbai is an upcoming American-Australian thriller film directed by Anthony Maras and written by John Collee and Maras. It is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the Mumbai attacks in 2008 at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India. The film stars Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Jason Isaacs, Suhail Nayyar and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

On February 11, 2016, it was announced that Dev Patel and Armie Hammer were cast in the film, Hotel Mumbai about the 2008 Mumbai attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India, along with others including Nazanin Boniadi, Teresa Palmer, and Kunal Nayyar, while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Anupam Kher also began negotiations. John Collee and Anthony Maras wrote the screenplay, which Maras would direct, while Basil Iwanyk would produce the film through Thunder Road Pictures along with Arclight Films' Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy, Electric Pictures' Andrew Ogilvie, and Julie Ryan.
On May 13, 2016, The Weinstein Company came on board to handle North American and UK rights to the film. On June 9, 2016, Tilda Cobham-Hervey joined the film's cast. On August 12, 2016, Jason Isaacs was cast in the film. On September 7, 2016, Natasha Liu Bordizzo also joined the film to play Bree, a tourist who is caught in the attack.
In August 2016, Principal photography on the film began in Adelaide, Australia. Filming will later begin in India.
