Harnawa is a village in Parbatsar tehsil of Nagaur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The village situated midway between Degana railway station and Parbatsar towns.

It is known as birthplace of Ranabai, a revered warrior girl, born on 1543 AD (aksya trirtya), in the family of Jalam Singh.

Harnawa can be reached from Parbatsar - Piplod - Kanwlad - Janjila - Badu - Harnawa. One can also come from Merta City - Bherunda - Harsore - Bakri - Harnawa. From Jaipur, Harnawa can be reached via Kishangarh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Harnawa had a population of 5,034. Males constitute 2527 of the population and females 2507.

Harnawa's population comprises about 1100 families, out of them 300 are Rajputs Rathore ((Mertiya Rathore)),300 are Jats, Brahmans (60), Kumhars (50),Harijan (30), Mahajans (15) (Oswals and Maheshwaris).

Samadhi of Ranabai

Ranabai took a live Samadhi at village Harnawa on bhadrpadi shukla trayodashi Samvat 1627 (1570 AD). Ranabai's brother Bhuwanji built a kachchi Samadhi after she died. The Samadhi is still present near the temple of Gopinath in Harnawa. The worship of Samadhi and the Gopinath temple is done traditionally by the descendants of her family.

On the samadhi site at Harnawa village there is an annual grand fair organized every year on the Hindu calendar date Bhadva sudi teras, when devotees come from far-off places. Devotees stay at aDharamshala near the Samadhi site.
