Epocilla


Epocilla is a genus of spiders in the family Salticidae (jumping spiders). These spiders are primarily natives of southeast Asia. As most jumping spiders, they hunt prey by jumping, secured to a location by a thread of silk.

The genus name comes from Ἐπόκιλλος (Epocillus), a soldier of Alexander the Great.
