Devadurga is a town and the taluk headquarters of the Devadurga taluk in the Raichur district in the state of Karnataka, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Devadurga had a population of 21,992. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Devadurga has an average literacy rate of 43%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 50% and, female literacy is 36%. In Devadurga, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is one of the most backward taluks of karnataka as Nanjundappa report.

    Devadurga road constructions is going on and will be completed by 2015 and will be comfortable for the people to get connected by road to Bangalore, Hubli, Hyderabad, Bagalkot and other major cities. The nearest major airport is in Hyderabad.
