Colors Infinity is a English language general entertainment channel, part of Viacom 18 family, which was announced on 1 July 2015. It is an international channel. It was launched on 31 July 2015 simultaneously with its HD channel. It is co-curated by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. Colors Infinity, from September 2015 onward has started airing TV series within 12 hours after their airing in America. Till date they have various segments such as Back-to-back episodes, Instant Premieres, Live binge, Infinity-On-Demand and Original shows. It mainly airs American and British TV Series.

It is Available on all major DTH and cable Platforms such as Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Dish TV, Reliance Digital TV, Sun Direct, DEN Networks and GTPL.

Primetime Programming

Colors Infinity used to air three 'Back-to-Back' episodes of a different TV Series each day of the week. These episodes aired 9 pm onwards. Along with this, a reality TV Series was aired from 8 PM to 9 PM every night.

Currently, during weekdays three shows airs from 9 PM to 12 AM which includes dramas and reality TV shows. 7 PM and 8 PM time slots (Monday-Friday) are reserved for Instant premieres. Repeats of The Stage and Vogue BFFs airs weekends.

    Programming Details

    2015: The launch line-up had the most widely acclaimed international television series served on the platter such as My Kitchen Rules, The Flash, The Musketeers, Forever, The Big C, Orange Is The New Black, Better Call Saul, Fargo.

    The first line up of for Instant premieres included new series such as The Player, Heroes Reborn and Blindspot; along with returning series such as The Flash (Season 2), Arrow (Season 4), iZombie (Season 2) and Fargo (Season 2). Black Mirror (Series 1-2) also aired latter that year during weekends.

    The Stage, first ever home grown English language singing show premiered on 10 October 2015. Born Stylish Season 1 premiered on Saturday, 28 November at 8:30 PM on Colors Infinity and Vh1 simultaneously.

    2016: Five new shows i.e. DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Shades of Blue, Mad Dogs (US TV series), Heartbeat, and Game of Silence along with a returning series Better Call Saul (Season 2) was launched during the first half of 2016 on Instant premieres.

    British dramedy The Royals starring Elizabeth Hurley as Queen Helena, premiered on 19 May 2016 at 10 PM. Grimm premiered on 30 June at 9 PM.

    Tyrant (Season 3) and Mr. Robot (Season 2) were premiered right after their US telecast on Instant premieres in July 2016 at 11 AM and 12 PM respectively.

    Season 1 of American musical drama Nashville premiered on 2 August at 10 pm replacing The Royals (Seasons 1 and 2). Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 13 premiered on 10 August at 11 PM.

    The Last Ship Season 3 premiered on 8 September at 8 PM, after the rerun of seasons 1 and 2. Season 2 of Blindspot premiered at 8 PM on 15 September while Lucifer Season 2 premiered on 20 September at 7 PM on Instant premieres. Season 2 of The Stage premiered on 17 September 2016. Mr. Robot Season 2 finale aired on 22 September 2016. Vogue BFFs Season 1 premiered on Saturday, 24 September 2016 at 9 PM. The Last Ship Season 3 finale aired on 28 September 2016. Grimm Season 3 finale aired on 29 September 2016; It was replaced by So You Think You Can Dance : The Next Generation Season 13. Notorious Season 1 premiered on 30 September 2016 on Instant premieres at 7 PM with a 2-Hour special; It will be aired at 8 PM on Fridays.

    Timeless Season 1 premiered on 4 October 2016 on Instant premieres at 8 PM.The Flash Season 3 and Arrow Season 5 premiered on Instant Premieres at 7 PM on 5 October and 6 October 2016 respectively. A new series Frequency and DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 premiered on 10 October 2016 and 14 October 2016 respectively at 7 pm on Instant premieres. So You Think You Can Dance : The Next Generation Season 13 finale aired on 28 October 2016. It was replaced by My Kitchen Rules Season 7 from 31 October 2016. The Royals (Seasons 1-2) aired on October 29 and 30 at 10:30 AM. Pure Genius Season 1 premiered on Instant premieres at 8 pm on 31 October 2016.

    Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 15 finale aired on 15 November 2016, followed by Season 16 premiere on 16 November 2016. The Stage Season 2 finale aired on 20 November 2016. Global Citizen Festival India 2016 was aired on 26 and 27 November 2016 at 5 PM & 8 PM respectively. Nashville Season 4 finale aired on 29 November 2016. It was replaced by Covert Affairs.

    Vogue BFFs Season 1 finale aired on 3 December 2016. Notorious Season 1 finale aired on 9 December 2016. Mozart in the Jungle Season 3 premiered back-to-back on 10 December 2016 on Live Binge. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 16 finale aired on 16 December 2016. It was replaced by Southland Season 1 from 19 December 2016. Troy Series 1 and 2 premiered on 24 December 2016 and 25 December 2016 respectively at 12 PM on Weekend Binge as Christmas special. Utopia Season 1 and 2 premiered on 31 December 2016 and 1 January 2017 respectively at 12 PM on Weekend Binge as New Year's Eve special.

    2017: My Kitchen Rules Season 7 finale aired on 5 January 2017. It was replaced by America's Got Talent Season 11. Emerald City Season 1 premiered on 7 January 2017 at 8 PM on Instant Premieres. 74th Golden Globe Awards 2016 had its Live telecaste on 9 January 2017 at 7:30 AM and 9 PM. Gossip Girl Season 1 premiered on Saturday, 14 January 2017 at 12 PM. Riverdale Season 1 premiered on friday, 27 January 2017 at 7 PM on Instant Premieres. Live The Story, a new Saturday night 9 PM block was launced, which biopics and documentaries with Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013) premiering on 28 January 2017. Frequency and Pure Genius Season 1 finale aired on 30 January 2017. Covert Affairs Season 1 finale aired on 31 January 2017. It was replaced by Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce from 1 February 2017 at 10 PM. Southland Series finale aired on 16 February, 2017; it was replaced by Damages Season 1. Timeless Season 1 finale aired on 21 February 2017. The Blacklist: Redemption Season 1 premiered on 24 February 2017 at 8 PM on Instant Premieres. Taken Season 1 premiered on 28 February 2017 at 8 PM on Instant Premiere.

    Live Binge

    Colors Infinity introduced 'Live Binge' with the aim of bringing international content to India on real-time basis, thereby eliminating the need for illegally downloading the series from the internet. It premiered 10 back-to-back episodes of ‘Mad Dogs (US TV series)’ the same time as Amazon Prime premiered the episodes in the US.

    Infinity On Demand

    This segment was launched on 19 May 2016, with the tagline "You are what you watch. Choose wisely". Colors Infinity lets audience decide from the wide range of shows which are latest, most-in-demand and never seen before in India. You have to vote for the show that you want to watch the most, from the 3 options given every week on http://www.colorsinfinity.com/iod/. First weekend binge began from 11 June.

    The first set of options for Infinity on Demand were Legends, Mozart in the Jungle and Satisfaction. Other shows in the list are Peaky Blinders, Salem, The Art of More, The Last Kingdom, The Magicians, Utopia, Lucifer, American Odyssey, Allegiance, Battle Creek and Bates Motel.

    Original Series

  • Along with airing syndicated TV Series from all over the world, Colors Infinity has also started producing its own original series. Till date it has produced two series; The Stage (India's "First English Singing Talent Hunt") and Born Stylish (a joint series of Colors Infinity and VH1).
  • The Stage is the first ever home grown English language singing show and premeried on 10 October 2015. The show provided a platform to 20 raw talent from around the country in a quest to find India’s best English language singer. Season 1 was hosted by Shibani Dandekar and was judged by Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani, and Devraj Sanyal. The winner of first season was Yatharth Ratnum. Season 2 of The Stage premiered on 17 September 2016. British boy band The Vamps guest starred in one of the episodes this season.
  • Born Stylish was the homegrown celebrity talk show dedicated to fashion and style was premiered on Saturday, 28 November 2015 at 8:30 PM on Colors Infinity and Vh1 simultaneously. Bollywood style icons like Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Anil Kapoor appeared on the show and spilled the beans on their evolution of style through the years. Additionally, international fashion pioneers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Anna Zegna of the Ermenegildo Zegna family, Massimiliano Giornetti of Salvatore Ferragamo and more were also seen. It was hosted by ace designer Pria Kataaria Puri. They have also produced a one-episode special show called Journeys of a Lifetime.
  • Journeys of a Lifetime was a special one hour show highlighting the journeys of a few travelers. It was aired on 27 December 2015 at 8 PM. The show featured the life changing journeys of Fatima Bhutto, Homi Adajania, Chandrahas Choudhury, Kesri Khambatta and Veda Hrudya Nadendla who set their life to explore and dream. From a deep sea dive to explore a wrecked ship or even a pursuit of a daughter to fulfil her dying father’s wish, everything was recorded and aesthetically captured in the show.
  • Vogue BFFs is a new-format talk show, where a Bollywood celeb is joined by his/her lesser known BFF (Best Friend Forever), was premiered on Saturday, 24 September 2016 at 9 PM on Colors Infinity. The show host Kamal Sidhu facilitates a candid light-hearted chat with the two guests about their story and life. Besides the talk, the show also features some fun games with the guests.
