Personal life

Educated at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Reather went on to study English Literature at Kingston University. Charlotte currently lives in the Cotswolds and often plays polo. Charlotte is represented by Laura Rourke at Independent Talent Group.

Career

Reather started her career in comedy at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, featuring well-known performers such as Simon Munnery, Stewart Lee and Lee Mack. She has written for Newsrevue, the renowned comedy troupe based in London. Some of her material appeared in NewsRevue’s 2005 Edinburgh Festival show, a show which received 5 star reviews.

She on The Bill, Dispatches and Channel 4 News. In 2004, she took part in a ‘life-swap’ for ITV1’s reality series 'Poor Little Rich Girls'. She subsequently appeared on GMTV. Charlotte also hosted Society Chatshow for www.chatshow.net and has interviewed Jilly Cooper, Stefanie Powers, Sharron Davies amongst others. She also co-presented the pilot ‘Result’ for Sky & Granada with Sacha Baron Cohen. Charlotte also appeared on the US network WE: Women's Entertainment and The Biography Channel.

She is a regular features writer for The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Sunday Express and The Field. She has also written for Woman & Home, Tatler and PQ International. She co-wrote and starred in GUM!GUM! sketches featuring National Youth Theatre contemporaries Beth Winslet and Marc Elliot and was directed by Robert Llewellyn. Charlotte often performs her comedy character Henrietta Arden-Bibby on the stand-up circuit and, in November 2008, took part in the prestigious Groucho Club Gang Show'.
