    In 1954, the company in Blaubeuren founded by Rudolf Bohnacker. 1959 was the move to a new plant in Rottenacker. 1977, the company received connected to the European rail network. In 1986, the tool making to separate WMB Ltd. outsourced. In 1992 a plant in Hungary Csót opened.

    The Bohnacker Systeme GmbH was awarded the 2003 Price of the German foreign trade and 2005 IF Design Award CeBIT Hanover. 2008 was a change of name to Bohnacker Group Ltd with the brands element system, and shoptec trend system instead. In May 2009 the company was again renamed asBohnacker Systems.
