Prateek Mathur also known as Alroy Jovi (born 1987) is an Indian animator, visual effects specialists, director, producer, author and musician working primarily in digital mixed media. He is best known as the author of the Axtelera-Ray fantasy series.

Early life

Mathur was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. He worked for several project and companies as an artist. He worked as an stereoscope / rotoscoping artist for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Green Lantern.

Mathur began calling himself Alroy Jovi when he performed on stage as a bass guitarist in his band Hell-Rock-Heaven in 2006 He took part in many gigs and concerts across India.

In 2009 because of his studies and a back injury, he began to concentrate more into Animation and films industry. In year 2009 when he converted Axtelera-Ray from two chapters comic into the novels, which he published under the Jovi name.

Novel Concept

In the year 2000, Alroy was fascinated by fantasy characters from cartoons, superhero comics, movies, and much more, as well as being a huge follower of Disney and famous superheroes. He designed a character based on the many ideas that this captivation brought him, developing its image, power, background and lifestyle in the same year. five years later, Alroy began to rebuild his plans, re-writing the history of the world he had created. This time, with an even greater range of exciting possibilities, he re-designed its power. In addition, he also took a big step towards naming the character and, by the fall of 2005, he finally called his creation 'Axtelera-Ray'. The name itself was inspired by a high school lecture based on the physics of the X-ray tube invented by William Coolidge.

In early April 2015 he have published a 40-page preview edition of our first book, ‘Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone’ was a grand success for the Novel on goodreads, lulu.

London Olympic

While working as a volunteer for Sports Maker, Rush Hockey and UKCCA, the task that was given to him was to design the graphics for the events, like certificates, promo videos, LCD posters graphics, posters etc. The action which he took was to create a unique design for the company as well as to represent the all England sports (England Hockey League). However, as a result those graphics which were designed by him for Sports Maker & Rush Hockey were used nationally as well as internationally via sports companies, which also won him a 2012 Bedfordshire Gold achievement award, he was invited to join the 2012 London Olympic Sports/Game Makers parade with the Olympic Gold medalist Etienne Stott in Bedford, he was awarded the title of YOPEY’s positive role model 2012, and was endorsed by the leaders of all three main political parties, Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, and Opposition leader Ed Miliband.

UKCCA

Prateek worked with UKCCA as a volunteer for Filming, Photographing started in January 2012. It consists of a dedicated arts center to promote and serve the interests of Carnival arts and carnival communities both nationally and internationally. It provides a large space and technical facilities for the communities of Luton to prepare their costumes and floats for their own Carnival. This major new cultural resource is set to attract thousands of people each year including Carnival artists, schools, course attendees, conference visitors, creative industry start-ups, archive users and the local community. For the last five years it is one of the leading carnival communities in the vicinity. United Kingdom Centre for Carnival Arts (UKCCA) is run by the Luton Carnival Arts Development Trust (LCADT), the Carnival arts development agency which exists to provide training, education and outreach activities that promote the value and powerful impact of Carnival arts.

Beauty and the Beast

As a concept artist Prateek is very well known for producing educational tutorial using industrial software’s, in order to his number of concept art In earlier 2015, when Emma Watson role was confirmed in the Disney movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’, As an artist he produced a concept art in which he have compiled the pictures of Emma Watson, by taking different parts of her body from different shots of her in different appearances and put together a stunning concept of Emma in Belle’s clothes. He cropped her face from one image and taking her neck from another then focusing on finding the perfect match for her shoulders and later the slim arms were also photoshopped, followed by her graceful body. The end result was brilliant and created a buzz in the fan world of Emma Watson. Those images were posted on Twitter and Facebook and soon they were re-tweeted and re-shared by die-heart fans all across the globe. Bella's concept art also catch the eye 'The Ellen Show’ featuring Prateek’s concept art of Emma Watson as Belle from Beauty and the Beast film, which went viral in early August 2015, and been shown in numbers of online magazine’s including Look, BusinessInsider, Moviepilot, Ok! Magazine, popsugar, m-magazine, techinsider, etc.
