  • Lake Kinneret in Israel
  • Palestinian territories
  • Yarmouk River in Jordan
  • Iraq
  • Iran
  • The type locality is Jordan Basin.

    Shells of this species were also found in Üçağızlı Cave in Turkey, in deposits from the Upper Paleolithic which probably originated from the Orontes River.
