Thai Poranthachu is a 2000 Tamil language film directed by R. K. Kalaimani. The film features Prabhu and Kausalya in lead roles whilst Karthik, Vivek and Ponnambalam play supporting roles. It was remade in Telugu as Choosoddaam Randi with Srikanth and Rambha in lead roles. Ajay Laxman has acted as a child actor in a song Gopala Gopala. Vivek, while dancing lifts him, and it was not a pre-planned scene.
