The team is one of the four establishing teams of IFL. Previously based in Modi'in Pioneers moved to Tel Aviv in 2010. Pioneers is one of the oldest and most experienced teams in Israeli tackle American Football.

The Pioneers are Becker Trophy holders of 2008-2009 season as they won Israel Bowl II. The Pioneers lost to the Tel-Aviv Sabres in Israel Bowl V (2011-2012) The Pioneers won Israel Bowl VII against the Jerusalem Lions (2013-2014)
