Tejashwi Prasad Yadav (born 9 November 1989) is an Indian politician and former cricketer. He was the fourth Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, in Nitish Kumar government after 2015 assembly election for twenty months. He is the current leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly and the youngest opposition leader in the country.

Early life and personal life
Yadav is the second eldest son of the former chief minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav. He studied until 9th class from DPS R K Puram. He dropped out of school without completing his school education due to his love for the sport of cricket. At the R.K. Puram, New Delhi, Yadav took a keen interest in the sport of cricket and became captain of the school team. He has been criticised by the opposition leaders for becoming Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar despite being a school dropout. But he is a good orator in both English and Hindi. This was well appreciated and widely acknowledged during his first speech as an opposition leader of the state of Bihar.
Cricket career
Prior to his plunge into politics, Yadav was a cricketer, who played as middle-order batsman in one Ranji Trophy match and two limited-overs games for Jharkhand. He was also a part of the Delhi Daredevils for its 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012 Indian Premier League seasons.
Political career
He was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Raghopur constituency as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal in 2015. He served as the deputy Chief Minister for the state of Bihar between Nov 2015 and July 2017. His elder brother Tej Pratap was also a minister in the Bihar government.
