Sofia Public Transport

Sofia Public Transport Company operates surface transit in the city. It is overseen by the Sofia Urban Mobility Center (Capital Company for Public Transport). The company has a large fleet of 535 buses, 93 trolleybuses and 156 trams which pass throughout the city. Metropoliten is the municipality-owned company that operates the Sofia Metro with 26 trainsets on 2 lines. (Dec.2014 figures) Sofia is the only city in Bulgaria that operates the four modes of public transport.
