Recent developments

In 2008, Sid Lee launched its Amsterdam office in a neighborhood called De Pijp, in close proximity to Albert Cuyp Market.

That same year saw the publication of Conversational Capital: How to Create Stuff People Love to Talk About by the Financial Times Press. A collaboration between Chairman Bertrand Cesvet, Vice-President of Strategy Eric Alper and Creative Director Tony Babinski. The book was intended to demonstrate Sid Lee’s approach to creating word-of-mouth success stories.

Following Sid Lee’s initial European foray, the firm launched its second European office in Paris in May 2009.

To bolster its Canadian presence, Sid Lee opened its Toronto office in 2010.

In 2012, Sid Lee also entered the US market with the opening of a New York office.

During the 2013 Cannes Lions Festival, Sid Lee announced the launch of Sid Lee Entertainment, a new division aiming at creating engaging experiences and content for its consumers.

In 2014, Sid Lee extends its presence in the United States with the opening of an office in LA.

On July 6, 2015 Sid Lee was acquired by kyu, the strategic operating unit of Hakuhodo DY Holdings, which is currently headed by CEO Michael Birkin.
