Shweta Tiwari (born 4 October 1980) is an Indian film and television actress. She has appeared in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In 2011, she won the reality show, Bigg Boss 4 with ₹ 10 million as prize money and appeared on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 as a participant in 2013. She worked in popular shows like Parvarish and works in Begusarai, where she plays "Bindiya".

Personal life

Tiwari was married to actor Raja Chaudhary. They got divorced in 2007 after nine years together. Tiwari suffered in a troubled relationship characterised by Raja’s alcoholism and violence. Tiwari had complained how he used to beat her up on a daily basis. He used to turn up on the sets of her shows and misbehave with her. They have a daughter called Palak. Tiwari and actor Abhinav Kohli were married on 13 July 2013 after dating for almost three years. On 27 November 2016, Tiwari gave birth to a baby boy.

Shweta Tiwari was one of the most acclaimed and critically Best Performer of her time. She won many accolades for her role of Prerna in Star Plus's one of the Most Hit Serial from 2001 till now Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She is the 2nd Most Awarded Star Parivaar Awards Winner after Hina Khan and along with Smriti Zubin Irani and Hiten Tejwani. She was also nominated for International Awards in 2003 and 2004.
