Tiwari /tɪwɑːriː/ (Devanagari: तिवारी) is a surname of the Hindu Brahmins communities commonly found in India and Nepal. Alternative spellings include Tiwary,Tewari and Tewary. The word Tiwari (and similar surnmaes such as Trivedi and Tripathi) means "versed in three vedas".
