History

Pat and Bud Roche opened their first store in Roslindale, Massachusetts in 1952 as a meat and produce shop. The store expanded to include groceries in 1957.

As of May 2013, the chain had 15 Roche Bros. and 3 Sudbury Farms locations.

On April 29, 2015, an additional store opened in Boston's Downtown Crossing in the space formerly occupied by the original Filene's Basement.
