Pezotettix giornae is a species of 'short-horned grasshoppers' belonging to the family Acrididae subfamily Catantopinae.

Description
The adult males grow up to 11–14 millimetres (0.43–0.55 in) long, while the females reach 12–18 millimetres (0.47–0.71 in) of length. They can be encountered from June through October in meadows of lowlands and in stony mountains. They mate in October and often overwinter as adults. In this case they can be found by March.
The basic coloration of the body varies from light brown to grayish. The sides of thorax sometimes present a white or darker longitudinal stripe. The wings are oval, very short and unfit to flight (brachyptery), resembling those of a nymph.
Distribution
This very little grasshopper is present in Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, in North Africa and in the Near East.
