The North Sea Commission is an international organization founded in 1989. It facilitates partnerships between regions connected with the North Sea and promotes the North Sea Basin as an economic entity within Europe.

Unlike most international organizations, the members of the North Sea Commission are primarily subnational administrative divisions rather than states.

The presidency of the commission is made up of one president and two vice presidents who are elected every two years. The presidency is normally made up of different nationalities so that different regions are represented fairly.
