At the 4th NSP general convention, held in Rajbiraj in March 2003, the party split into two. A group led by the widow of Singh, Anandi Devi Singh and Hridesh Tripathy broke away and formed the Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi). History

After the historic People's Movement of 1990 A.D. against Panchyati Regime (autocratic ruling by monarchs), Multi Party System was re-established in Nepal and People felt real sense of Democracy for the first time. Citizen of this country get an opportunity to exercise or practice the democratic political norms and values. Nepal Sadbhawana Parishad which was established in the 80’s with basic area of work focused in lobbying the rights of oppressed Madheshi’s also played the vital role in the democratic movement in this country.

Nepal Sadbhawana Parishad

"Parishad" was involved and played a vital role in the People's Movement of 1990 which was led by visionary politician Late Gajendra Narayan Singh. After the restoration of Democracy and Multi-Party System in 1990 A.D. this Socio-Political organization "Nepal Sadbhawana Parishad" transformed itself as a political Party named Nepal Sadbhawana Party (NSP) in 1990 A.D. This Party has completed its 27 Years of democratic struggle journey. During all these years the Party has fully exercised the multi-Party democratic process, norms, and values and kept their peaceful movement continued until now from paving their paths to Parliament and even in Government Cabinet as well. Nepal Sadbhawana Party is a national Party and has been established as a responsible political actor in the Nepalese politics.

Nepal Sadbhawana Party (2015-16)

Nepal Sadbhawana Party has a long list of achievements and People's oriented work in its 27 Years of glorious political history. It has a long political history adding several years of experience and struggle in Nepal. After the demise of Gajendra Narayan Singh the party’s uniqueness, identity and motives were overshadowed by some of the other Madhesh based parties coming into existence which somehow affected the party’s strength. Also because of some dissatisfaction among the Nepal Sadbhawana Party’s leaders the party broke into several pieces resulting into formation of several “Sadbhawana Parties” named after its mother organization Nepal Sadbhawana Party. But last year Nepal Sadbhawana Party (NSP) and Sanghiya Sadbhwana Party (SSP) united to become one as Nepal Sadbhawana Party. This was a historic movement in itself among Madheshi politics and politics of Nepal when several parties were parting their ways because of differences SSP and NSP united to be one.

After unification in last one year Party actively participated in various works which ranges from celebrating Party's Silver Jubilee, actively participated in relief distribution after devastating earthquake in Nepal which took 10000 of lives and left millions homeless etc.

Unifications of Nepal Sadbhawana Party With Other Parties

There's several speculations always made among Madhesh based political parties that they are merging or suggestions from outside that they should merge. But since the CA Election of 2070 none of the Madhesh based parties succeeded to merge. But the fact is there are some small political parties who still represents in Legislature Parliament and also have participated in CA Election have succeeded to merge and move ahead jointly.

Initially Sanghiya Sadbhawna Party and Nepal Sadbhawana Party merged to become one party as Nepal Sadbhawana Party. Laterally Nepal Sadbhawana Party merged with other Four (4) other smaller parties which are Madhesh Rastra Jantantrik Party (Krantikari), Social Republican Party, Nepal Republican People's Party and Jantantrik Terai Madhesh Mukti Tigers. Besides mentioned political parties unification Nepal Sadbhawana Party also succeeded to welcome some of the prominent figures from Madhesh in its party. Dr. Shiv Shankar Yadav, Ram Narayan Singh, Raman Pandey along with few others joined the party in last 2 years. So, these show that we are in direction of creating more progressive political situation which somehow will have positive impact in the Nepalese politics especially among intellectual groups of Madhesh.

Seeing the current political situation of Nepal we can assume that it's still in the transition phase after the 2062-63 Public Movement and 2072's Constitution declaration. In such circumstances Nepal Sadbhawana Party's Political Unifications in last 2 Years is satisfactory in its own sense because when the big and small political parties here are breaking and uniting more often than ever before. Speaking specifically in young democracies this tends to weaken political parties prospects for survival in often rapidly changing political landscapes and in such scenarios wise political moves is needed with more farsighted strategies.

Once we get unify with few parties convinced and brought veteran leaders like Ram Narayan Singh and Yadubansh Sah who in the past have served in the cabinet of Nepal along with other prestigious posts in the Government of Nepal, convinced and brought whole chapter of J.P Gupta's Led Organization from Siraha, different district level and local level leaders from different Parties in Mahottari, Bara and Rupandehi entered our party. NSP had successfully organized party's 6th General Convention in Janakpur in the month of April 2016. So, the party is continuously engaged in maintaining its strong foothold in the Nepal’s Madheshi politics with motive of serving the people of Nepal specially Madhesh.
