Naushahro Feroze District , (Sindhi: نوشهرو فیروز‎), is a district in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its capital is Naushahro Feroze city. Administratively subdivided into five talukas and 51 Union Councils, according to the 1998 census of Pakistan it had a population of 1,087,571, increasing to 1,621,780 as of the 2011 census initial tabulations. Naushahro Feroze has had the status of a district since 1989.

National Assembly representation

District Naushahro Feroze has two members in National Assembly of Pakistan. The district electoral is referred as NA-211 and NA-212. The member elected from NA-211 represents the constituencies of Moro and Naushahro Feroze Talukas. The member elected from NA-212 represents Kandiaro, Bhirya and Mehrabpur Talukas.

    Demographics

    Most of the population of district, 98.45% are Muslim, while Hindus form 1.3% (forming 2.19% of the urban population of the district). The major first language is Sindhi, accounting for 88% of the population, followed by Urdu with 5.7% and Punjabi with 4.4%.
