Maine State Route 104 is a 35.54 mile long route from U.S. Route 201, SR 100, U.S. Route 202, SR 11, and SR 27 in Augusta at its southern terminus to U.S. Route 201 and U.S. Route 2 in Skowhegan. It travels through Kennebec County and Somerset County. SR 104 can be seen as a bypass of U.S. 201 for travelers wishing to go further north.

Route description

SR 104 begins in Augusta at a roundabout with U.S. 201, U.S. 202, SR 11, SR 100, and SR 27. SR 104 continues north along the Kennebec River. It then intersects SR 3. As it enters Waterville, it intersects SR 137 and SR 11, which SR 104 has a concurrency with. Then, SR 104 and SR 11 intersect SR 137 again at its southern terminus. At a junction with SR 100, SR 104 branches off of SR 11 and has an interchange with Interstate 95. Starting in Fairfield, SR 104 has a 2.78 mile concurrency with SR 139. It then branches off of SR 139 in North Fairfield. SR 104 continues 9.87 miles north to its northern terminus at U.S. Route 2 and U.S. Route 201 in Skowhegan.
