Basia london warsaw new york video special part 1

London Warsaw New York is the second solo studio album by Polish jazz and pop singer–songwriter Basia, released in the United States on October 23, 1989 by Epic Records. The album's title comes from a line in the song "Copernicus" (included on the album): "Our love will take this globe by storm/If it's London, Warsaw, or New York". Basia performed this song live on Late Night with David Letterman on Thanksgiving night on November 22, 1990.

Contents

The album earned a platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America on August 11, 1992 for sales of over one million copies in the United States. It produced five singles: "Baby You're Mine", "Cruising for Bruising", "Brave New Hope", a cover version of "Until You Come Back to Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)", and "Copernicus". "Cruising for Bruising" peaked at number 29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Basia's second U.S. Top 40 hit and third (and last to date) entry on the Hot 100. Three singles entered the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, including "Cruising for Bruising" (which reached number five, tying with "New Day for You" from Basia's previous album, Time and Tide, as her most successful entry on that chart); "Until You Come Back to Me" and "Baby You're Mine" also charted AC though they failed to make the Hot 100.

The video for "Until You Come Back to Me" contains footage shot in Seattle, with scenes including the ever debated Alaskan Way Viaduct and the landmark Paramount Theatre.
