Limón Fútbol Club is a Costa Rican football team playing at the top level in the Primera Division. It is based in Limón.

History

In 2009, local businessman Carlos Howden Pascal decided to invest in local second division soccer team ASODELI, shareholders agreed lease the team and renamed Limón FC. On 2010 the team quickly returned to Costa Rica top level division Primera Division. By June 2011, Carlos Pascal was encarcerated and his banks accounts frozen, compromising the team financial situation, In 2013 was released but his bank accounts still frozen, Currently some players are receiving bonds as salary until the case is settle. Many players do not only have the job that is playing at Limón. Most of them work in other places like Ports.
