As per 2011 Census of India Jaykrishnapur had a total population of 5,180 of which 2,629 (51%) were males and 2,551 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 520. The total number of literates in Jaykrishnapur was 3,818 (81.93 % of the population over 6 years).
