Jason Binn is an American publisher and entrepreneur known for founding Niche Media (and does business now as www.greengale.com) and DuJour Media. Binn is also an executive director of the private jet company JetSmarter.

Jason binn niche media days
Publishing

Binn founded Ocean Drive magazine, a luxury publication focusing on Miami, in 1993. In 1998, he founded Niche Media, a publisher of regional luxury magazines including Hamptons Magazine, Aspen Peak, Boston Common, Capitol File, Gotham, Los Angeles Confidential, Vegas Magazine and Michigan Avenue.

Under Binn, Niche Media created custom publications for Art Basel Miami Beach, Wynn Las Vegas and the Short Hills Mall for the Taubman real estate organization. Niche Media was acquired by Greenspun Media Group in 2007.

Binn served as chief adviser to Kevin Ryan in 2010, the founder and CEO of online luxury retailer Gilt. In January 2016, Ryan sold Gilt to Hudson’s Bays Company, which includes Saks, Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth. Binn later left Niche Media and became chairman of Gilt; he continues to serve as Chief Adviser in the newly acquired company.

In 2012, Binn founded DuJour Media, a quarterly print publication and digital magazine for wealthy readers, sent to Gilt’s database of subscribers.

Binn has been credited with breaking major stories, including an exclusive interview with Dennis Rodman on his visit to North Korea as a guest of Kim Jong-un, and Donald Sterling after a racist rant where Stirling admitted he should have paid off his ex-girlfriend.

Binn partnered with James Cohen, the son of Robert Cohen of Hudson News, and Dufry, an operator of Duty Free shops at worldwide ports.
In August 2016, InList, a nightlife and events booking app, named Binn Chief Advisor to its Board of Directors.
In 2016, Binn was named executive director at Jet leasing App company JetSmarter.
Education
Binn originally attended the University of Cincinnati; he then graduated from the Boston University College Of Communications Cum Laude, with honors.

In 2005 Binn was profiled in Forbes magazine's "Forbes 400" and was awarded Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur of the Year."
In 2007, he was inducted into the American Advertising Federation's “Advertising Hall of Achievement”.
In 2008, Binn was listed in Crain’s “40 Under 40” list of successful entrepreneurs.
In 2008, Binn received the Boston University's Distinguished Alumni Award for Service to Profession for his work in the field of communications and media.
In fall 2012, Crain's New York cited Binn as making print magazines successful in a time when print is losing market to digital media
Personal life
Binn was born Jason Frederick Binn to Moreton I. Binn and Penny I. Binn in Roslyn, New York.
He married Haley Lieberman in December 2003. The couple separated in 2016.
Philanthropy
Binn is a board member at Anthony Shriver's Best Buddies International, a non-profit organization benefiting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Binn created the Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Charitable Foundation benefiting animals with problems due to cruelty or neglect.
Binn is a patron of God's Love We Deliver and the Gay Men's Health Crisis Network.
