Hong Jin-young (born August 9, 1985), better known as the Queen of Trot and by the mononym Jinyoung, is a South Korean trot singer. She was a member of Mnet Media's girl group SWAN. In 2009, she debuted as a soloist.

Education
In 2012, Hong Jin-young completed her doctoral course at the Chosun University in Business Administration. She also holds the Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Trade program from the same university.
Career
In 2006, she played a role in Yeon Gaesomun, a historical Korean drama that takes place in the 7th century.
Jin-young began her music career in 2007, with SWAN, a Korean girl group which the name stands for "Strong Women Achiever, No Spouse" primarily consisting Han Ji-na, Hong Jin-young, Heo Yoonmi and Kim Yeon-ji with their song "Call Me When You Hear This Song" (featuring Coolapika). In 2009 her agency suggested her to switch to become a solo trot singer, a suggestion she initially resisted given her young age. Nonetheless she released her first digital single, Love Battery. On 6 August 2010, she returned with a new digital single entitled, My Love. On June 30, 2011, Jin-young along with many of South Korea's rising stars sang at the Changwon Sports Complex in a concert called "Changwon's First Anniversary Hope Concert, We Are". About 3 years later, she returned with released digital single, Boogie Man on 22 March 2013.
In 2014, she has been in a virtual marriage with Namkoong Min in a variety show called We Got Married. She also appeared in episode 205 of famous Korean variety show Running Man alongside Baek Ji-young, Miss A's Fei, Kang Seung-hyun and Lee Guk-joo. She later appeared on Strong Heart and also appeared on "Eat & Eat", a special episode of Happy Together.
In 2017, Jin-young was cast as a regular member of Sister's Slam Dunk. She was assigned as a rapper by Minzy as it has been Jin-young's dream to become a rapper for a group, and she will receive help from Minzy and Jeon So-mi to compose the lyrics.
