81 pomacanthus chrysurus goldtail angelfish 20130502
The goldtail angelfish (Pomacanthus chrysurus) a relatively large angelfish, growing up to 33cm. It is found on reefs at depths of between 1 and 25 meters in the western Indian Ocean (South Africa including Comoros, Seychelles and Madagascar). The fish is a general black/brown colour with white vertical bands covering its body and bright blue bands covering the head, belly and anal fin, the tail of this fish is, as the name suggests, yellow. P. chrysurus is rarely seen in the aquarium industry because of its shy nature and inaccessibility of habitats.
