Eric Gibbs is an American attorney at Gibbs Law Group LLP and Girard Gibbs LLP in the United States. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California. As a part of the American Association for Justice, he co-chairs the Consumer Privacy and Data Breach Litigation Group and the Lumber Liquidators Litigation Group, and serves as the secretary for the Qui Tam Litigation Group.

Early life and education
In 1995, Gibbs earned a juris doctor from Seattle University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in California.
Legal practice
Eric Gibbs has served as a court-appointed lead counsel, class counsel, and liaison counsel in numerous major class action lawsuits. As a partner at Girard Gibbs LLP, he litigated against General Motors regarding the organic antifreeze DEX-COOL, as it was linked to the degradation of engine sealability components. The Consumer Attorneys of California nominated Eric Gibbs as a finalist for the 2013 Consumer Attorney of the Year for his work representing plaintiffs against Chase Bank in a case that successfully challenged increased monthly minimum payments imposed on credit card customers.
Eric Gibbs is currently participating in litigation against Takeda Pharmaceuticals over association between bladder cancer and the diabetes drug Actos (Pioglitazone), and in litigation against Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson over association between male breast development and the anti-psychotic drugs Risperdal and Invega. Additionally, Girard Gibbs LLP recently filed a class action suit against Volkswagen over its circumvention of federal emissions tests.
