Ludwig Edward Fraenkel FRS (born May 28, 1927) is a German-born British mathematician, and professor at University of Bath.

Education
He earned a Master of Arts degree from Queens College, Cambridge followed by a PhD in 1968.
Awards and honours
In 1989, he was awarded the Senior Whitehead Prize. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1993.
