Monsanto is known by the alias as the Bida sa Sampalan. She got this name because of her extreme popularity in the daytime television series, Tubig at Langis. Fans created fake memes and accounts of her character.

Her first television appearance was in Pinoy Big Brother: Season 2 as a contestant, in 2007. Monsanto entered on Day 12 of the series, and was evicted on Day 77.
In the later part of 2007, Monsanto portrayed an antagonist role in Super Inggo 1.5: Ang Bagong Bangis, the series starring former child actor Makisig Morales. She portrayed the role of Salonna.
