Deepika English Medium School (Hindi: दीपिका अंग्रजी मद्यमेक विद्यालय, रौर्केला) is a co-ed primary, middle and senior secondary English medium school located in sector five of city Rourkela. The school was opened in the year 1976 by the founder principal Mr. V.N.N. Paniker with the help from ladies of Deepika Mahila Sanghati, Rourkela. Presently Mr. Pramod Kumar Sahoo is the principal of the school. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi pattern of education which is having Science and Commerce streams at Senior Secondary level and the students are prepared for All-India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

History
In the year 1976 the school began imparting primary education curriculum by the help from ladies of Mahila Sangati and its founder principal Mr. V. N. N. Paniker, who was considered as a pioneer in opening of Deepika English Medium School (Primary Section) school. In the year 1991, the school opened new three-storey high school building with modern infrastructure in a different campus in sector five which was having classes from five to twelve for the students.
The infrastructure of the school is maintained by the administration of Rourkela Steel Plant management. The school is divided into three sections primary, middle, secondary types of education system. The primary section of the school is having a different campus for the students from class one to four. While the middle and senior secondary school is functioning at different campus with modern infrastructure with classes five to twelve. Both the primary section school and high school are located at different campus within sector five .
Campus
The high school building today comprise three-storey building with computer centres, a work-experience block; science, maths, commerce, biology, chemistry and physics laboratories; one library, basketball courts, cricket grounds, and football fields. The school's has library cum audio centre called Deepsikha within the school premises. The school got a complete renovation in the year 2013 in which the classrooms were remodernised along with a sparkling new sports ground and one of its kind parking space.
