Buloba

Buloba is an urban area in Wakiso District in the Central Region of Uganda.

Location

Buloba is on the tarmacked Kampala–Mityana Road. It is approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi), by road, west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. The coordinates of Buloba are 0° 19' 30.00"N, 32° 27' 0.00"E (Latitude:0.3250; Longitude:32.4500).

Overview

Buloba is divided into four administrative zones, from east to west:

  • Buloba ku Mwenda ("Buloba Nine Miles") - About 9 miles (14 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Kasero - About 10.5 miles (16.9 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Main - About 12 miles (19 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Kiweesi - About 14 miles (23 km) west of Kampala

    • When the Uganda Oil Refinery is built, it is anticipated that the finished petroleum products will be piped to a location in Buloba, for distribution within Kampala and other towns such as Entebbe.
