Bannu Medical College (Urdu: بنوں طبی کالج, Pashto: د بنو طب پوهنځی) is a public medical institute located in Bannu, Pakistan. It is one of several medical colleges affiliated to Khyber Medical University. The college was established by the former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akram Khan Durrani. Bannu Medical College enrolls 100 MBBS students each year.

Bannu medical college
History

The Ministry of Health and PMDC issued the notification of the creation of Bannu Medical College on 31 August 2006. The inauguration ceremony of the school was held on 18 December 2006. The temporary building of Bannu of Medical College is located in Bannu City while the site for permanent purpose built building is located in Bannu Township. The total land for the future building is 600 kanal and the construction of the building has already started.
Recognition

BMC, Bannu has been recognized by PMDC in 2011 and affiliated with Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar. Bannu Medical College is listed in the International Directory of Medical Colleges.

Khalifa Gul Nawaz Memorial Hospital

Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital is a 600-bed hospital located in Bannu Township. The construction of the hospital was completed in 2010, when it was also opened.
Other teaching hospitals
The two other teaching hospitals of Bannu Medical College are the 244-bed District Headquarters Hospital and the 130-bed Women and Children's Hospital.
Co-Curricular Activities
Along with Curricular activities, students as well as teachers of Bannu Medical College have big interest in Co Curricular activities. They arrange annual Funfairs on regular basis. Literary activities like Urdu Day, Pashtu Day and English Day are also part of these activities. The annual Magazine published from [Bannu Medical College] BARAAN previously called TARYAAQ is very popular among students as well as teachers for its content which is mainly composed of English, Urdu, Pashtu, Medical, Activities, Sports and Photography sections. The very first Literary Secretary of [Bannu Medical College] was Muhaddis Ahmad. Later he was replaced by Adil Ramzan and Rameez Akhtar.
