Projects

In 2008 Borkowsky announced an attempt to raise $3 million so she could buy commercial airtime during the 2009 Super Bowl to advertise for a husband. She raised a grand total of only just over $6,200, which she donated to the United Way but still reached a mass audience, with two interviews on the Today show and appearances on Extra, Tyra Banks Show, Fox and Friends, Headline News News To Me, and WB Morning Show. She also appeared on programs in other countries such as Sunrise, in Australia, and on German TV.

Amy is also the creator of the Cellibacy project, a media event in which she gave up her cell phone for sixty days, and she is the author of Statements: True Tales of Life, Love, and Credit Card Bills, a collection of true stories she remembered when she looked back at the charges on ten years of American Express credit card bills. "Every purchase tells a story".

Advertising career

Prior to entering comedy, Borkoswky was executive vice-president of an advertising agency and has won many awards for advertisements that she has written including five Clios, three Lions at the Cannes festival, and an Emmy.
