Acacia prainii is a shrub or tree belonging to the genus Acacia and the subgenus Phyllodineae. It is native to an area in the northern and eastern Wheatbelt, Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions of Western Australia.

The erect and bushy shrub or tree typically grows to a height of 1.0 to 3.0 metres (3 to 10 ft). It blooms from July to October and produces yellow flowers.
