Abel Ramón Caballero Álvarez (born 2 September 1946) is a Spanish professor of Economics and the current Mayor of Vigo.

Caballero had previously served in the Spanish Congress of Deputies representing A Coruña Province from 1982 to 1986 and Pontevedra Province from 1986 to 1997. Since 2015, he is the 11th President of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
