It has a number of amenities including a pub to the south of the village and an Indian restaurant to the north. It also has a Post Office; which additionally acts as a general store and sells made-to-order sandwiches, and is open 09:00 - 14:00. There is also a driving school that operates from the area, aptly named Abbey driver training.
