Being born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Aakanksha started her career in television through Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha in which she played Megha Vyas/Bhatnagar who is a widow with two children. She has been appreciated much for that. Her fan following has grown day after day, and she is loved for her simplicity, dedication and wonderful chemistry with her co-star Kunal Karan Kapoor. She later did Gulmohar Grand in which she played drastically different character of a 21-year-old girl , the show was a series based on the Hotel industry and was number 1 show in U.K
Personal life
She admires both traditional and western outfits and enjoys music, dancing, and acting. She had got engaged with her six-year-long best friend Kunal Sain, a marketing professional on July 11, 2013. Aakanksha was married to Kunal Sain on December 7, 2014 in a traditional Marwari wedding in Jaipur.
