Akanksha took up modelling projects during her short stint as international cabin crew. She was then spotted by big production house in south following which she bagged her first project as an actor in a Tamil movie.[1]

Early life and background
Puri hails from Madhya Pradesh and has done her schooling from a convent in Bhopal. Her father, R.K Puri, is a retired police officer and mother Chitra Puri is an astrologer. Her Elder Sister Megha Puri competed in Femina Miss India 2004 and did many photo shoots for leading print media & television and finally opted a career in aviation.
