The station has two opposed side platforms, connected to the station building by a level crossing.
History
Ōtagō Station was opened on 11 January 1913 as a station on the Jōsō Railroad, which became the Kanto Railway in 1965. The now defunct Jōsō Railroad Kinugawa Line operated from this station from 1926 to 1964.
