Zubole [zuˈbɔlɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzcianne, within Mońki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Trzcianne, 11 km (7 mi) south-west of Mońki, and 43 km (27 mi) north-west of the regional capital Białystok.

History

During World War II, mass executions of Jews are perpetrated by Germans in Zubole. The Jews were kept in the gravel pit and then in a barn for almost a week before the series of shootings took place. From June 28 until July 1, 1941, approximately 600 Jews from the nearbyshtetl of Trzcianne are murdered.
